Friendly matches
It is essential that the Club lets the County FA know if the Club are going to play any friendly matches. If not then the matches are not sanctioned. As well as breaching The Football Association rules, if a match isn’t sanctioned then the public liability insurance is deemed invalid and Referees should not be taking part as their insurance becomes invalid as well.
To become sanctioned, all the County FA needs is a letter giving details of the two teams as well as the date and time of the match. There is no extra cost involved in sanctioning friendly matches.
